Spartan News for September 2005

New York: The Spartan Warband is garnering a lot of attention these days. Last month we were contacted by George, a co-founder of The Greek Warriors; a reenactment club in the Big Apple! They have a great site, listed in our links. We are now listed amongst their links; and are described as follows: “They actually participate in live combat re-enactment, and I would not want to be on the other end of them!”

Doesn’t that just warm your little black Spartan hearts?!

Sparta, Greece: A fellow in Greece has contacted us at the Spartan Warband Yahoo Group, with an interested in getting help doing a Spartan chapter….. in Sparta!

Now how cool is that?? A Spartan Warband chapter made up of modern Spartans!

The fellow, Peter, has said that there is lots of interest amongst the men in Greece in their Classical heritage; and in particular the Spartan heroes of old! He thinks we could successfully recruit in Athens as well, by-far-and-away the biggest city in the country!

Now, who is ready to take a trip with Your-Ever-Lovin-Basileus??
